Architecture and fabrics unite in this innovative collaboration between Zinc Textile and Antwerp based studio Dieter Vander Velpen Architects, whose noteworthy portfolio spans bespoke projects across the globe. In this meeting of surface and structure, the rhythmic patterns of natural materials influenced the organic shapes and playful mix of tactile qualities, including velvets and jacquards that play with the contrast of matt and shine. Showcasing Zinc’s eclectic design language and Dieter Vander Velpen Architects contemporary edge, little importance is placed on everything matching but more on everything matters. Subtle nods to Zinc’s classic glam glimmer through the architecturally inspired designs that pay homage to the patterns found in marble, travertine, wood and sculptural shapes.

Would you believe us if we said this unassuming plain is woven from 75% milk? Milk fabric is made by taking protein from milk and blending it with a natural fibre, in this case, wool, to create a biodegradable fabric. Paraty, has the look and feel of a soft wool satin but is in fact a unique, experimental plain with an attractive fluid drape, that brings a luxurious yet responsibly created fabric to the table, and the window.
