A fresh take on the glamour and geometry of the Art Deco movement, ORNATE reimagines the architectural spirit of the 1920s and ’30s through a collection of bold upholstery weaves. London landmarks including Olaf House, Eltham Palace and the Hoover Building provided rich inspiration, their bold structures and ornate detailing informing the collection throughout. Originally designed in the Kirkby studio, graphic geometry, stepped curves and stylised florals reinterpret classic Art Deco layouts, simplified and sharpened for a contemporary interior. Translated into plush velvets, textured chenilles and glamorous metallics, the collection offers bold pattern, rich tactility and a confident decorative presence. The palette balances deep jewel and evening tones with pared-back tonal combinations, grounded by nostalgic notes of Antiqued Gold, Pine Green and Mars.
A signature motif of the Art Deco era, LUNETTE layers an ornate, crescent moon-inspired pattern into a refined piece dyed textile, woven with 80% organic cotton. A metallic sheen catches the light, giving the design a polished, glamorous finish.
Its name references the half-moon motif associated with Art Deco design, echoing the curved, semi-circular forms that appear throughout the architecture and decoration of the period.
