A majestic, wide-eyed owl spans its wings in flight. This is the Owl of Athena, which, in Greek mythology accompanies the goddess Athena and was believed to symbolise her wisdom. Emma J Shipley's hand-drawn illustration of the Owl of Athena has been transformed into an embroidered motif in lustrous black and gold. Embroidered onto a textured cotton blend, the Owl of Athena works especially well for drapes.
